RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Article V Section 5-1.4[c) states that the Mayor
has the power to "Create positions... or which appropriations
have been made by the council..."; and
WHEREAS, a time study,,concerning the collection of the
State of Hawaii vehicle weight tax and registration fee was
made; and
WHEREAS, based on a summary dated June 10, 1991, the State
of Hawaii has agreed to support an additional Treasury Clerk I
SR-12 position; and
WHEREAS the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation
has approved the funding of an additional Treasury Clerk I
SR-12 position in West Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation will fund the
Treasury Clerk I position for six (6) months in fiscal year
1991-92 and annually thereafter,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY bF HAWAII t{~at one (1) Treasury Clerk I SR-12 position
be created in the Department of Finance, Treasury Division.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Departments of Finance and Civil Service.
