RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A HEARNE
BROTHERS MAP OF THE BIG ISLAND (HAWAII COUNTY) FROM BASICALLY
BOOKS
WHEREAS, Basically Books, a business located in downtown
Hilo, has donated a Hearne Brothers map of the Big island
(Hawaii County) to the Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency; and
WHEREAS, the retail value o5 the donated map is two hundred
fifteen dollars and fifty cents ($215.50); and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may
accept gifts or donations of personal property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12,
of the Hawaii County Charter, the Hawaii County Civil Defense
Agency is authorized to accept the donation of a Hearne Brothers
map of the Big Island from Basically Books.
