FATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION No. 512 92 WHEREAS, Waikoloa Homesites Venture, pursuant to SMA Use Permit No. 25, has agreed to satisfy their community benefit assessment requirement by paying to the County of Hawaii $1.5 million upon receipt of final plan approval and a grading permit for the golf course and another $1.5 million to be paid upon the opening of the course for paid public play; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has received the first installment payment of $1.5 million following the issuance of final plan approval and a grading permit; and WHEREAS, THE County Council desires to utilize this community benefit assessment to enhance county housing and transportation programs in the Waikoloa area by appropriating $1 million for the purchase of new transit buses and $.5 million to cover off-site electrical costs for the Waikoloa Affordable Housing Project; and WHEREAS, the County Council finds it is appropriate that the initial payment of $1.5 million by Waikoloa Homesites Venture be accepted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it hereby accepts the first installment payment by Waikoloa Homesites Venture. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii transmits a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Lorraine R. Inouye, Mayor; Mr. Norman Hayashi, Planning Director; Mr. William Takaba, Finance Director; Mr. Steven Shinchi, Transit Operations Administrator; Mr. Brian Nishimura, Housing Administrator and Mr. William W. L. Yuen, on behalf of Waikoloa Homesites Venture. Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 16th day of September 1992.
