Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members:
Re: Ane Keohokalole Highway (Mid-Level Road)
Transmitted herewith for the Council's approval is a resolution authorizing the
Mayor to execute Memorandums of Agreement with various landowners for the
acquisitions of rights-of-way for the Ane Keohokalole Highway (Mid-Level Road).
We are requesting that this resolution be waived to full Council due to time
constraints in meeting the Federal highways deadlines. Thank you for your

RE: Resolution No. 209-09 : RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
MEMORANDUMS OF AGREEMENT WITH THE VARIOUS LANDOWNERS FOR THE
ACQUISITIONS FOR THE RIGHTS-OF-WAY FOR THE ANE KEOHOKALOLE HIGHWAY
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations Committee to the full Council

advantageous that approval is granted and the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for
review. However, in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the
matter shall be referred to the Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations Committee for
placement on its future agenda.
Sincerely,
