RESOLUTION NO. 544 83
WHEREAS, at the Boys Club of Hilo's First Annual Boy of the
Year Award dinner held on Saturday, January 29; 1983, AKIRA MARK
YANAGIDA was selected to receive the Boy of the Year award; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of his contrihutions to the Boys Club
of Hilo in such activities as supervising the game room, running
tournaments, acquainting new members with the Club's facilities,
assisting in the concession booth with the booking, serving and
selling, in 1982 the entire Boys Club staff selected Akira "Boy of
the Month" for the month of May; and
WHEREAS, his pleasant nature, cheerful disposition,
dependableness, well. groomed appearance, respectful mannerism,
academic achievement, religious upbringing, and his overall.
character have molded Akira into the fine young gentlemen that he
is today.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it proudly congratulates AKIRA NARK YANAGIDA for tieing
the first recipient of the Annual Bov of the Year. Award as
conferred upon him by the Boys Club of Hilo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council extends its best
wishes and congratulations to his proud parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Akira Yanagida and hereby shares the joyful pride of this
memorable occasion with his family and friends.
