RESOLUTION N0. 5~9 ~~
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Cattlemen's Association, at their annual
meeting held in Waimea on November 19, 1982, designated and
honored William J. Paris Jr., as Livestock Man-of-the-Year; and
WHEREAS, It is gratifying to see that Nr. Paris, who owns and
operates Palika Ranch and whose parents were charter members of
the Hawaii Cattlemen's Association, is being recognized by. members
of the industry to which he has dedicated a lifetime of service
and support; and
WHEREAS, this service has included being a former Director of
the National Cattleman's Association, now serving as a member of
that organization's Foreign Trade Committee, past President of
both the Hawaii Cattlemen's Associatlon and the Hawaii Cattlemen's
Council, Inc., and on several occasions a delegate to National
conventions of the association; and
WHEREAS, his involvement has he

NOW, THEREFORE, 8E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that they extend to Mr. Paris their congratulations for
being selected as the recipient of this designation and commend
the Hawaii Cattiemen's Association for their choice.
8E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
is hereby directed to transmit a true copy of this Resolution to
Mr. William J. Paris Jr., and the Hawaii'Cattlemen's Association.
