Resolution
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter provides that any
contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from
appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal
year be approved by resolution of the Council;
WHEREAS, the County desires to purchase a five-place helicopter
for the Fire Department to be paid over a seven-year period; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the purchase of the helicopter,
County wishes to contract for the operations (pilots) and maintenance
of the helicopter over the seven-year period;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it approves a multi-year installment plan for purchase
of a five-place helicopter and a multi-year contract for operations
(pilots) and maintenance and that sufficient funds be budgeted in
future fiscal years to cover the obligation of the County.
