RESOLUTION N0. ~Q3 ~~
WHEREAS, this Saturday, November 20, 1982, there will be ~~`
featured et Parker Ranch's Puukalani Stables in Waimea, Hawaii, the
Annual Hawaii Livestock Show and Sale; .and
WHEREAS, this 1&th annual event sponsored by the Hawaii
Cattlemen's Associaticn promises to again present for public view
and auction what, traditionally, has been the finest showing of
regl.stered, quality animals; and
WHEREAS, staging end sifting of these halter and range-ready
bulls, epen heifers and bred heifers 1s already in progress in
anticipation of this event which attracts ranchers and cattleman
county-wide; and
WHEREAS, knowing of the effort and preparation involved by
members of the Hawaii Cattlemen's Asseciation to present this
quality showing of those animals vying for Grand Champion Bull,
Reserve Champion Bull, Grand Champion Hailer and Reserve Champion
Heifer. ~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUtJTY OF
HAWAII that it commends the Hawaii Cattlemen's Association for their
dedication in preserving this Big Island tradition and wishes them
we].1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk cf the County of Hawaii be
instructed. to remit true copies of this Resolution to Mr. Edward 0.
Rice, President, Hawaii Cattlemen's Association, Mr. Harry "POnO"
Von Holt, Show Manager, and Mr. Carl Csrlson, Jr., Chairman of the
Sales Committee.
