RESOLUTION N0. 502 ~~
l1HEREAS, tdiss Mia Ichishita of Kalaoa, North Kona, is Hawaii's
represontative at the P4iss National Pre-Teen Pageant being held in
Atlanta, Georgia; and
tVHEREAS, ®ight-year-old Mie, a promising student at the
Kealakehe Elementary School, will be competing nationally against
girls ages 8 tc 12 representing each of our States and Puerto
Rico; and
WHEREAS, MSa, having been a finalist in the 1979 Baby t41ss
America Contest, the crowned Universal Baby Miss in 1.980, and the
1982 winner of the American National Talent Search, will once
again be competing with har performance of the song "Tomorrow" in
the prestigious national competition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends Sts best wishes to Mia as she competes in
the 1982 Miss National Pre-Teen Pageant.
8E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be directed to transmit true copies of this Resolution to Miss Ptia
Ichishita, and to her parents Kevin and Angie Ichishita.
