HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 485 Draft 01 1980-1984ell RESOLUTION No. 485 82 WHEREAS, Carl Wend -ll Carlsmith, esteemed attorney and senior partner of the firm Carlsmith, Carlsmith, wichman and Case, passed away at the age of 78 while still in the active pursuit of law; and WHEREAS, Mr. Carlsmith, a native of Hilo, dedicated himself to the development of the taw firm founded by his father which is the I argest in the State of Hawaii with offices in Hilo, Kona, Honolulu and Guam; and WHEREAS, Mr. Car.ismith's legal prominence is manifested in his representation of Hawaii's largest business organizations and his responsibilities to Stanford University and its Law School.; and WHEREAS, Hr. Carlsmith's desire to advance the princiales of lav; in practice and education has had a valuable impact on the legal profession and its future evoluk.icn. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extends its deepest condolences to the family of the late Carl Wendell Carlsmith. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii remit a true copy of this Resolution to his wife Edith Mattson Carlsmith and family Edith. Gayle, Donn Wendell and Carl wane Carlsmith.
