RESOLUTION NO. 481 82
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii annually selects an outstanding
employee for exemplary performance on the job and community
involvement; and
WHEREAS, Captain Noboru "King" Kitaoka, Fire Station Commander
at Captain Cook, was named as the 1981-82 Outstanding Employee of
the Year--Supervisory Category; and
WHEREAS, Captain "King" Ki.taoka is credited with. instituting
the Basic Life Support System, which strengthens island-wide
emergency care to persons injured in accidents between Kau and
Kailua; and
WHEREAS, through positive leadership and actions,
Captain Kitaoka_, has earned the respect and admiration of his
subordinates and superiors alike; and
WHEREAS, in the realm of cc•mmuni.ty involvement,
Captain Kitaoka serves as an active member of the Central Kona
Athletics Association, Kona Hongwanji Mission, Akitsu Kumi. Club,
and the Americrn Cancer Society, among several others.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF ThE COUNTY OF
HAIIAII that it extends its warmest congratulations to
Captain Noboru Kitaoka for being selected as the County of
Havraii's 1.981-82 Employee of the Year--Superviscry,Category.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council. convey its sincere
appreciation and mahalo to Captain Kitaoka for demonstrated
competence and professionalism as Station Commander of the Captain
Cook Fire Station and for his contributions to his community and
fellow men.
DE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a true ropy of this Resolution to Captain Noboru Kitaoka.
