RESOLUTION NO. 4 76 82
WHEREAS, Henry "Skippy" Kamakawiwoole III's untimely death at
a tender age of 28 will have its impact on all those who have come
to know him; and
WHEREAS, "Skippy", a member of the renowned musical group, the
Makaha Sons of Niihau, gave unselfishly of his time and energies
to the worthy causes of many non-profit organizations; and
WHEREAS, as the leader of the famed musical group, his
departure will leave a void in the development of the spiritual
feelings conveyed by their brand of contemporary Hawaiian music.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends its deepest condolences to the family of
the late Henry "Skippy" Kamakawiwoole III.
3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a true copy of this Resolution to his wife Donna Leial.oha
Kamakawiwoole.
