HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 460 Draft 01 1980-1984 0 0 RESOLUTION No. 460 82 WHEREAS, the Eighth Annual Miss Hawaii Puerto-Rican Pageant sponsored by the Hawaii Puerto-Rican Cultural Association was held on August 28, 1982, at the Hilo Civic Auditorium; and WHEREAS, crowned as the 1982 Miss Hawaii Puerto-Rican was the charming and lovely Miss Lorrie-Ann Kahealani Harris of Hilo who, among other accomplishments, captured the swimsuit competition and shared the Miss Popularity award with the first runner-up on her way to winning the title; and WHEREAS, as the official greeter of the Puerto-Rican community, Miss Harris will be perpetuating the Aloha Spirit in her travels and official functions as the reigning Miss Hawaii Puerto-Rican for 1982. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it expresses its congratulations to Lorrie-Ann Kahealani Harris ..,or her performance and accomplishments in winning the 1982 Miss Hawaii Puerto-Rican title and wishes her an enjoyable and memorable reign. . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii remit a true copy of this resolution to miss Lorrie-Ann Kahealani Harris; to Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Harris, III and Ms. Shirley Pacheco; to her sponsors, Ken's Pancake House; Coit Customs Upholstery; Debbie's Chop-Choppers; Kar Sounds and to Mr. Santos Carvalho, President, Hawaii Puerto-Rican Cultural Association.
