RESOLUTION N0. ~~1 ~2
WHEREAS, State Health Department Executive Officer Robert Ueoka
has appointed ?4rs. Jenny Wung of Hilo as Acting Administrator of the
State Hospital at Kealakekua, Kona; and
WHEREAS, Jenny will be working very closely with present Acting
Nursing Director Sally Hamada who is presently doing a tremendous job
in recruiting personnel and developing a good working relationship
with the medical staff and with the community;. and
WHEREAS, Jenny spent over 28 years at Hilo Hospital and was acting
Director and Head of the quality assurance and infection control program
of nursing, prior to her transfer to the Kona Hospital; and
WHEREAS, Jenny has been very active as a member and presently the
chairperson of the Hawaii County Committee on_Status of Women and served.
on this capacity since 1978; and
WHEREAS, Jenny is a member of the Hawaii Nursing Association,
rustee of the United Church of Christ, Director of the American Cancer
Society, health project volunteer for the American Red Cross, mother of
three children and wife to Leslie, the rancher..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF "
HAWAII that it extend its congratulations to eminently qualify ,
Mrs.Jenny Wung for being appointed as Acting Director of the State
Hospital in Kealakekua, Kona, and wishes her success in bringing much
needed stability with the cooperation of the medical staff and the
community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii be
.instructed to remit a true copy of this resolution to Mrs.Jenny Wung,
Acting Administrator of the Kona Hospital at Kealakel:ua, Kona, Hawaii..
