HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 426 Draft 01 1980-1984~~ f ' '~ ' O County of Hawaii-State of Hawaii Resolution No. `~~~ ~ WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article 9, Section 11.A Hawaii County Code, as amended, provides that the County Council may by resolution approved by a majority of its members, direct the Director of Finance to negotiate the disposition of real property to governments and governmental agencies; and WHEREAS, the property owned by the County of Hawaii situated at Makai Section of Holualoa 1 & 2 partition, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-6-13-17. Containing an area of 2.302 Acres, is not being utilized and is considered surplus to County needs; WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation, Highways Division, plans to construct the Hawaii Belt Road, FAP Route 11, Project No. 11A-03-69, Palani Road to Kilohana Subdivision; WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation, Highways Division is now proceeding with the acquisition of the lands that are required for the construction of the subject project. WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation, Highways Division offers to purchase a portion of TMK: 7-6-13-17 contain- ing an area of 56,235 square feet (State Department of Transpor- tation acquisition parcel #63) together with the abutter's rights of vehicle access and all improvements thereon, for the total sum of $75,900.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the County of Hawaii that, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 2, Article 9, Section 11.A of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, .~ `~ the Director of Finance be authorized to negotiate the sale of real property with the State Department of Transportation; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be authorized and directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the Department of Public Works and the Director of Finance of the County of Hawaii.
