WHEREAS, Miss Isabel Keoho'ckalani Kalaau was chosen the 1983-84
Miss Aloha Macadamia at the 5th Annual Miss Aloha Macadamia Pageant
held an July 16; and
WHEREAS, this popular community event is sponsored by the Honokaa
Athletic Association f'or the purpose of selecting a queen to reign
over the festivities of the upcoming Fsth Annual Macadamia Nut Harvest
Festival scheduled for August 12 to 21, 1983; and
WHEREAS, Miss Kalaau, a gracious and deserving winner and a
graduate of Kemehameha Schools, ~vill add her beauty and charm as the
chief hostess of the Macadamia Nut Harvest Festival.

Macadamia title, and wishes her success during the duration of her

8E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii is
instructed to remit true copies of this resolution to Miss Isabel K.
Kalaau; her parents, Eben and Carol Ann Kalaau; her sponsors, Mauna
Kea Beach Hotel, Bobbi Lyn's, Mar Macs Harda~are on Maui; and the
Pageant's host, the Honokaa Athletic Association.
