From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated January 21,
1997, informing he has appointed Deann L. Canuteson,
Lyndia M. Dodd, Dana G. Eudaley, Charmaine T. Ka-ipo,
Betsy A. Ludwig, Merle Martin, Alisa J. Mitchener,
Thomas G. Nelson and Laura L. Tobosa, representing
various council districts, to serve on the Hawaii
County Committee on People with Disabilities, to be
co-terminus with his tenure which will end
December 4, 2000 with the exception of Ms. Mitchener
and Ms. Ludwig, all are incumbents and are being
reappointed.

Comm. 115: APPOINTMENT TO THE HAWAII COUNTY COMMITTEE ON THE
STATUS OF WOMEN - JACOUI L. HOOVER
From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated January 8,
1997, informing he has appointed Jacqui L. Hoover of.
Waikoloa to the Hawaii County Committee on the Status
of Women, replacing Betty A. Andrade of Kona who
resigned due to a work schedule conflict. A 36-year
resident of Hawaii, she has been general manager of
King's Shops since 1994 and is active in many
community organizations, to serve the balance of the
unexpired term ending December 31, 1998.

Comm. 103: APPOINTMENT OF DIANE QUITIQUIT AS DIRECTOR OF THE
DEPARTMENT OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FOR THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII
From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated January 14,
1997, transmitting for confirmation the appointment of
Diane Quitiquit as Director of the Department of
Research and Development for the County of Hawaii.
Informs she has had extensive experience in private
business and has served as Research and Development
Director for the past four years.
