Please do not purchase the area of Puna District adjacent to Highway 130 known as the
"steam vents', actually created in the 1955 lava flow if the area.
Reasons for opposing the purchase as follow
Too high liability for personal injury of the Public in the unstable and difficult to reach area
of the steam vents
Poor choice of use of Geothermal Relocation Money. Funds much better put to use in
relatively stable land with many more people able to use such facilities.
Very Expensive to Construct and Maintain any sort of buildings for Public Use, IE "Cultural
Center"
