SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
MAKALA BOULEVARD/KONA COMMONS DRIVEWAY
TRAFFIC SIGNAL
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2 (Moving
Vehicles), Section 24-274.1, Schedule 22.1 (Traffic signal systems), paragraph (f) Kona
be amended by adding new item:
MAKALA BOULEVARD, AT THE KONA COMMONS DRIVEWAY, ONE
THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE FEET SOUTHWEST OF QUEEN
KA'AHUMANU HIGHWWAY.
A new traffic signal at the subject location was installed as a part of the Kona Commons
project. This amendment is necessary to update the Hawaii County Code to reflect
existing conditions.
A location map is attached for your reference.
