County of Hawaii - State of Hawaii
Resolution
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter provides that
any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of
funds from appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution of the Council;
WHEREAS, the Police Department, Housing Agency and
Prosecuting Attorney's office have installed telephone systems
that include agreements specifying terms for installation,
service, and ,termination and the agreements require payments in
future years;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it approves the agreements between the Hawaiian
Telephone Company and the Police Department, Housing Agency and
Prosecuting Attorney's office, which contain rental and termin-
ation payment in future years if the agreements are cancelled
before seven years and that sufficient funds shall be appropriated
in future years to cover such obligation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
sent to the Chief of Police, Housing Administrator, Prosecuting
Attorney and Director of Finance.
