WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that the Salary Ordinance of 1983 (Bill No. 969, Draft 2) is
hereby amended for the following departments effective Suly 1, 1983:
SECTION 8.10. FIRE DEPARTMENT.
1. Add 4 new positions of Fire Fighter SR-16.
CONTRACTUAL/EXEMPT POSITIONS (Page 32)
SECTION 8.04 (g). DATA PROCESSING DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE.
1. Add one position of EDP Programmer
Funding Source: Data Processing Miscellaneous Contractual
Services
SECTION 8.06. DEPARTMENT OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMEtdT.
1. Add one position of Resource Materials Specialist
Funding Source: R & D Miscellaneous Contractual Services
2. Add 2 positions of Tourism Coordinator
Funding Source: Tourism Promotion
3. Add one position of Sugar Staff Assistant
Funding Source: Agriculture R & D Miscellaneous Contractual

SECTION 8.17. HAWAII COUNTY OFFICE OF AGING
1. Add one position of Small Group Homes Coordinator

2. .Add one position of Data Processing Clerk-Operator

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted
to the departments of Fire, Finance, Research and Development, Aging and
Civil Service for their information.
