From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated March 4, 1997,
informing he has appointed Mrs. Matsui, Ms. Soriano,
and Mrs. Sakai and reappointed the other named
individuals to the Hawaii County Committee on Children
and Youth to serve co-terminous with his term ending
on December 4, 2000.

Comm. 193: APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated
February 7, 1997, submitting in compliance with
Chapter 2, Article 25 of the Hawaii County Code,
applications from qualifying organizations and a list
showing amounts requested for Council's review and
appropriation of funds for FY 1997-98.
Comm. 193.01: NON-PROFIT FUNDING REQUESTS
From HS&EDC Chair John Ray, dated March 20, 1997,
informing the HS&EDC at its April 1, 1997 meeting will
discuss the non-profit grant requests and stating he
looks forward to completing the funding
recommendations at that meeting.

PUBLIC ACCESS TELEVISION: Channel 4 (Hilo) - The Public Works &
Parks Committee and Finance Committee meetings can be seen on
Tuesday, April 1, at 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 8, at 9 p.m. The
Human Services & Economic Development Committee and Planning
Committee meetings can be seen on Thursday, April 3 at 8:30 p.m. and
Thursday, April 10, at 8:30 p.m. All Committee meetings can be seen
on Sunday, April 13, at 9 a.m.
Channel 12 (Kona) - The Public Works & Parks Committee and Finance
Committee meetings can be seen on Wednesday, April 2, at 6 p.m and
Wednesday, April 9, at 6 p.m. The Human Services & Economic
Development Committee and Planning Committee meetings will be shown
on Friday, April 4, at 6 p.m. and Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m. All
Committee meetings can be seen on Sunday, April 13, at 9 a.m.
