RESOLUTION NO. ~~8 8~
WHEREAS, Harold P. Luscomb, Vice President of Hawaiiana
Investment Co., Inc. (HIC), and a thirty-five year employee of
C. Brewer & Co., Ltd., recently retired to pursue a different career
in the sugar industry; and
WHEREAS, during his dedicated tenure with C. Brewer,
Harold Luscomb started as a part-time freight clerk in 1948, and
rose to more responsible positions such as Comptroller, Assistant
Treasurer, Director, Manager and Vice-President in various
assignments in Hawaii as well as in Puerto Rico; and
WHEREAS, this noteworthy career, most of which was served on the
Big Island, deserves to be acknowledged because of the many
contributions and friends he has made in Hawaii.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends to Harold Luscomb its appreciation for a
career well performed and wishes him continued success in his new
endeavor in Indonesia.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii be
instructed to remit true copies of this resolution to
Harold P. Luscomb and to J. W. A. Buyers, Chairman and President of
C. Brewer & Company, Ltd.
