Resolution
NAMING OF STREETS IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized to
adopt the street names of unnamed roadways in the County of Hawaii
pursuant to Section 4.03, Article 2, Chapter 9, Hawaii County Code;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of
February 17, 1983, approved the following names for certain unnamed
roadways within the Kealakehe Houselots, Phase I, Kealakene, North
Kona, Hawaii; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that said
roadways, as indicated on Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, be named
as follows:
Kealakehe Houselots, Phase I, Kealakehe, North Kona, Hawaii
Kealakehe Street - Winding path; name of land area
Lapa Nui Street - Large slope
Le'ale'a Street - Joy, pleasure, happiness,
merriment; delighted, pleased
Onipa'a Street - Stable; steadfast, established,
firm; Motto of Kamehameha V and
Lili'u'okalani
Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 16th day of
