Comm. 413: PRESENTATION BY THE HONORABLE LINDA LINGLE, MAYOR,
MAUI COUNTY, ON MAUI COUNTY'S HUMAN SERVICE GRANTS AND
TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AT HS&EDC'S AUGUST 5, 1997
MEETING
From HS&EDC Chair John Ray, dated July 24, 1997,
informing that he has invited Maui Mayor Linda Lingle
to share some of their programs and procedures
utilized by their Department of Housing and Human
Concerns.
States as HS&EDC Chair, he proposes that our Council
make it a priority to improve the way our County works
with its Human Service providers, especially in
improving the way we evaluate and distribute
non-profit grants. Hopes that the information Mayor
Lingle shares will aid our efforts to make these
improvements.

The Public Works & Parks Committee and Finance Committee meetings can
be seen on Tuesday, August 5 at 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday, August 12 at
8:30 p.m. The Human Services & Economic Development Committee and
Planning Committee meetings can be seen on Thursday, August 7 at
8:30 p.m. and Thursday, August 14 at 8:30 p.m. All Committee
meetings can be seen on Sunday, August 17 at 9 a.m.
