Please support Resolution 80-09 banning the release biological control agents against
plant species related to the ohi'a, including strawberry guava. As a real estate broker'.I
understtmd that trees and landscaping are an important factor in property value. ti F
Biological control may have long-reaching as yet unknown effects on our landscape and
therefore, on our property values. Government agencies, including our County
government by failing to act to oppose the release of invasive insects, risk lawsuits from
private property owners for damaging their property. Some states have paid millions of
dollars in damages for the killing of trees as a result of government actions. Please act to
preserve; the trees that make our island beautiful.
