We OPPOSE Resolution 178 for the following reasons:
The Puna Geothermal Relocation Money need to be put to better use where the Majority of
the Community would be using a more stable land area.
The amount of money needed to construct and maintain anything in the steam vent area is
abhorrent.
We need to see and you need to review the forthcoming Hazard Study conducted by the
County of Hawaii
We need to know which department conducted the Hazard Study and what all of the Results
are.
The property next door known as the kingdom of heaven, formerly known as the steam vent
inn has not nor has ever obtained a special use land permit in agricultural zoned land.
The County of Hawaii has no business saying that the steam vent area is safe for the General
Public, if the County of Hawaii feel that there should not be a public business next door
where the steam is less prevalent in comparison to the steam vent property per say.
