ATTACHED PROPOSED BILL REGARDING TAX CREDITS FOR
MANDATORY SEWER HOOK UP
Please find attached a proposed bill that would provide real property tax credits to residents who
are required to hook up to the public sewer system. I would like to have the bill numbered and
placed on the Finance Committee agenda
I understand the necessity of requiring sewer hook ups, however a small percentage of the public
is being required to bear the cost for something that benefits everyone. Furthermore, it has come
to my attention that the cost of sewer hook up can be extremely high, sometimes between five to
ten thousand dollars. I feel that a real property tax credit is a justified and responsible action to
take. The proposals in the attached bill offer some relief to affected property owners without
placing undue negative impact on the rest of the County. I look forward to working with my
fellow Council member's to find a solution to this matter. .
