RE: Communication No. 436.:. : Appointment of Guy Kaulukukui of Council
District 6 to the Hawaii County Charter Commission.
Dear Members of the Hawaii County Council:
Due to the recent proposal by the members of the Hawaii County Council, in accordance
with the recommendation of Corporation Counsel, to revert to the Council and
Committee leadership as they stood prior to the enactment of Resolutions 200-09 and
201-09, there is some ambiguity as to who currently sit as the appropriate committee
chairs.
Therefore, due to the time sensitivity of the above-referenced item and as the Chair of the
Hawaii County Council, Communication 436.. is being referred directly to the Council
to be placed on the August 5, 2009 agenda. This referral is made pursuant to Rule 4(2)(f)
of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii.
