ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 4, section 24-276, schedule 24
(Crosswalks), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended
by deleting the following item:
[(8) Olaa to Pahoa Road, in front of the Pahoa School.]
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 4, section 24-276, schedule 24
(Crosswalks), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is further
amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
L 2 Keaau-Pahoa Road, three hundred fifty-five feet northwest of Kaohe Homestead
Road.
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 4, section 24-276, schedule 24
(Crosswalks), subsection (b) North Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by deleting the following item:
[(1) Mamalahoa Highway, in front of the Papaaloa Theater.]
SECTION 4. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No pazking
at anytime), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended by
adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
~ Keaau-Pahoa Road, north side, from Kaohe Homestead Road and extending five
hundred fifteen feet to the Sacred Hearts Church drivewav.
SECTION 5. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In
printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included.

SECTION 6. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance aze declazed to be severable.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
