AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWA,`I COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE I'C ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`l:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No parking
at anytime), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by deleting the following item:
[(135) Pu`u`eo Street, mauka side, beginning at `Ohai Street and extending
seventy-Yive feet in the Hamakua direction.]
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article ] 0, division 6, section 24-288, schedule 36 (Freight
loading zones), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as Collows:
l'u`u`eo Street mauka side from a point thirty feet 1{amakua of `Ohai
Street uid extending_fifty feet in the Hamakua direction.
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In
printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included,
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severai,le.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
