ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), RELATING 'CO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-284, schedule 32 (Two hour
parking areas), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
ll Kilauea Avenue, both sides from Haili Street to Ponahawai Street.
Kilauea Avenue, makai sid1starting one hundred fifteen feet uorihwest of
Kukuau Street and extending fort~two feet in the Hamakua directiai.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24~ 284, schedule 32 (Two hour
parking areas), subsection (c) South Hilo, ummmbered item, of the Hawaii County Code 1983
(1995 edition), as amended by Ordinance No. 00-89, is amended to read as follows:
O Kilauea Avenue, mauka sides from [Haili]Ponahawai Street to Kukuau
Street.
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-284.1, schedule 32.1 (8 hour
parking areas), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition),
created by Ordinance No. 00-89, is amended by adding the follow~ug to be appropriately
numbered and to read as follows:
~ Kilauea Avenue, makai side, starting two hundred torte-nine Ccet northwest oC
Kukuau Street to Ponahawai Street.
SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In
printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 5. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
