ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 00-64, AS AMENDED,
RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2000 TO JUNE 30, 2001.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'L•
SECTION 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to reappropriate the
lapsed 1988-92, 1994-96 and 1996-98 fuel tax district appropriations as shown on the
attached Exhibit A. Because the original amounts were established by formula and to
maintain equity, lapsed district funds would be reappropriated back to the respective
districts.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 00-64, as amended, Relating to Public
Improvements and Financing Thereof, for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2000 to June 30, 2001, is
hereby amended by establishing the following district appropriations:

NORTH HILO 1,386.64
HAMAKUA 933.00
SOUTH KOHALA 47,629.92
NORTH KONA 1,052,435.47
SOUTH KONA 698.08
TOTAL $2,287,273.17
Allotments from these district appropriations shall be made to the specific projects listed on the
attached Exhibit B.
SECTION 3. Funds for these projects shall be provided from the following accounts of
the Capital Projects Fund:
2271.22 Fund Balance-Fuel Tax Increase 88-92 $198,273.46
2271.25 Fund Balance -Fuel Tax Increase 94-96 341,116.53
2271.26 Fund Balance -Fuel Tax Increase 96-98 1,747,883.18
$2,287,273.17
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not
affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the
invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to
be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
