AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 00-64, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2000 TO
JUNE 30, 2001.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to appropriate the 1998-2000
fuel tax collections in excess of appropriations established by Ordinance No. 99-46. This ordinance
also adds the Puainako Street Extension and the Alii Highway projects to the list of TEA-21 Projects
(Federal Aid) as specified in Ordinance No. 99-46.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 00-64, as amended, Relating to Public Improvements and
Financing Thereof, for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2000 to June 30, 2001, is hereby amended by
establishing the following program appropriations:
PROGRAM AMOUNTS
TEA-21 PROJECTS (FEDERAL AID) $ 91,642.58
LOCAL ROAD IMPROVEMENTS 91,642.58
TOTAL $183,285.16
Allotments from these program appropriations shall be made to the specific projects listed on the
attached Exhibit A.
SECTION 3. Funds for these projects shall be provided from:
Transfer from Highway Fund $127,178.87
Fund Balance -Fuel Tax Increase 98-00 56,106.29
$183,285.16
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not
affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
