I am testifying in favor of amending Bill 365 to adopt the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code, 2007 March Edition. I commend Councilman Pete Hoffman for bringing this building code change to the forefront. The State of Hawaii and all counties within Hawaii continue. to lag behind the latest building technologies that are available and being used in the U.S. as well as other countries throughout the world.
