RESOLUION NO. ~8~ 83

WHEREAS, the Bank of Hawaii recently announced that Dick West,
Assistant Vice President-Manager of the Kaiko'o Branch is being
promoted to Vice President-Regional Manager, Hawaii Region; and
WHEREAS, a native of Keaau (Olaa), graduate of Punahou High
School and Whitman College in Washington State, Dick West has
chalked up twenty-three years banking experience, spending the last
fifteen years on the Big Island; and
WHEREAS, his community activities includes service with the
Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce as past 1st Vice President,
Committee Chairman of Government Affairs, and its current President;
he was one of the original organizers of the Kanoelehua Industrial
Area Association, and was then elected to serve as its Charter
President; he is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Hilo, Easter Seals
Society and Past President of the University of Hawaii Athletic
Booster Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends its congratulations to Dick West with regard
to his promotion to Vice President-Regional Manager of Hawaii Region
and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
remit a true copy of this resolution to Dick West.
