RESOLUTION NO. ~8g S.3
WHEREAS, Clifton K. Tsuji, a 1959 graduate of Hilo High School,
was recently named the Hilo Branch Manager and Assistant
Vice-President of the First Interstate Bank of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Clifton, is a 1966 graduate of the University of
Hawaii, Manoa Campus, where he received his B. A. in speech, and in
1983 from the Pacific Coast School of Banking, University of
Washington, a diploma in banking; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of his fine background and experience in
financing and banking, Mr. Tsuji was elected to serve as a treasurer
with the Mental Health Association of Hawaii, American Cancer
Society, Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce, and Waiakea Elementary
School PTSA; and
WHEREAS, Clifton Tsuji, a community minded individual, is a vol-
unteer with the Hawaii Island United Fund and is also actively
involved with the Big Island Press Club, the Japanese Chamber of
Commerce, the Downtown Improvement Association, the Small Business
Association, and the American Institute of Banking.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends its recognition to Clifton K. Tsuji, for his
selfless contribution to many service oriented organizations and
projects and congratulates him for being named the Hilo Manager and
Assistant Vice-President of the First Interstate Bank of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a true copy of this resolution to Mr. Clifton K. Tsuji and
Mr. Donald MacGregor, President of the First Interstate Bank of
Hawaii.
