Resolution
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAI I that Herbert T. Matayoshi, Mayor of the County of
Hawaii, or Stephen K. Y amashiro, Chairman of the County
Council, County of Hawaii, has absolute authority to bind the
County o f Hawaii to the terms and conditions of the grant
relative to Public Law 98-8 (Emergency Jobs Act).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of the Council of
the County of Hawaii is hereby appointed as the Certifying
Representative for Public Law 98-8 (Emergency Jobs Act) with
authority to delegate his responsibility.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk is hereby
directed to forward copies of this resolution to the District
Committee of the Department of Planning and Economic
Development, State of Hawaii; and the County of Hawaii
Departments of Water, and Research and Development; and to any
interested government or government agency.
