Resolution
WHEREAS, concrete action must be taken by Government to
uphold its stated policies of agricultural preservation; and
WHEREAS, "A Bill for an Act relating to agricultural
leases" is designed to promote fair agricultural leases to
island farmers; and
WHEREAS, this proposal will come before the 1984
Legislature.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it supports this measure.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be directed to
forward copies of this resolution to the President of the
Senate; the Speaker of the House; the President of the Hawaii
State Farm Bureau; and to Mr. James Sugai, Chairman of the Kona
Farm Leases Ad Hoc Committee.
