RESOLUTION N0. `y~~
WHEREAS, friends of the Honorable Daniel K. Akaka, United States
House of Representatives, are gathered here tonight in celebration
of his "Kanreki Birthday"; and
WHEREAS, Representative Akaka has dedicated his efforts toward
the sponsorship and endorsement of legislation critical to the
preservation and promotion of our sugar industry and. other
agricultural endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Representative Akaka, as a member of the 'House
Appropriations Committee and Subcommittee on Agriculture and other
vital committees, has established himself as an astute statesman and
leader.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I7 RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUtJTY OF
HAWAII that it acknowledges the vast accomplishments of United
States House Representative Daniel K. Akaka end wishes him all the
best at this, his "Kanreki Birthday" celebration.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
remit a true copy of this Resolution to United States Representative
Daniel K. Akaka.
