RESOLUTION N0. '7~8 ~~
WHEREAS, a Hawaiian Luau commemorates a festive occasion, filled
with very 'ono kaukau' ttasty food), singing, dancing and good
fellowship; and
WHEREAS, the Congregation of Memorial Lutheran Church in
Glendale, Wisconsin, will celebrate a gala Hawaiian Luau on
September 11, 1983, at the church; and
WHEREAS, preparing a Hawaiian Luau requires considerable
planning, cooperation and sharing among ali the members of the
congregation and clearly epitomizes the true Spirit of Aloha.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF 7HE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it congratulates the congregation of Memorial Lutheran
Church in Glendale, Wisconsin, for sponsoring a Hawaiian Luau on
September 11, 1983, and wishes the 300 attendees a most delightful
time, hoping that most of you may again visit Hawaii, and in
particular, the Big Island of Hawaii, in the near future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
send this Resolution to the Reverend Frederick P. t4ai of Memorial
Lutheran Church.
