Resolution
WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article l9, of Hawaii County Code provides
that the County Council may by resolution, approved by a majority of
its members, dispose of real property; and
WHEREAS, the band building and cottage located at Konawaena
High and Intermediate School are surplus and may be removed due to
construction of new band building;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the County of
Hawaii that:
1. In accordance with the provision of Chapter 2, Article 19,
of the Hawaii County Code, the Director of Finance be authorized to
dispose of the buildings located at Konawaena High and Intermediate
School, Kealakekua, Kona, Hawaii. TMK: 8-1-02-38, by public auction.
2. The Director of Finance to determine the date, place, and
reasonable terms and conditions of the auction.
3. If no acceptable bids are received, that the buildings be
demolished and removed expeditiously.
