RESOLUTION NO`~~~ ~3
WHEREAS, Melvin William "Sonny" Miranda, Jr., age 13, began
competing in 4-H projects at the age of 10 years; and
WHEREAS, in 1982 when "Sonny" was 12 years old, he was elected
President of the Hualalai 4-H Club and the Kona 4-H Federation and
represented the Federation at the State 4-H Conference; and
WHEREAS, since 1980, "Sonny" has entered the 4-H project
competition, winning nearly all the grand champion, showman, and
record book awards for his persistent and dedicated works, which are
listed below:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends its congratulations to Melvin William
"Sonny" Miranda, Jr., for being honored as the recipient of many top
4-H awards for his dedicated and persistent work and wishes him
continued success in the field of animal husbandry.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii be
instructed to remit a true copy of this resolution to Melvin William
"Sonny" Miranda, Jr.
