WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized to adopt the street names of unnamed roadways in the County of Hawaii pursuant to Section 22-35, Article 2, Chapter 22, Hawaii County Code; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of February 22, 1984, approved the following names for certain unnamed roadways in the Volcano Golf and Country Club Subdivision, Units III & IV, Keauhou, Ka'u, Hawaii; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that said roadways, as indicated on Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, be named as follows: Ka'akia Place - Native shrubs or trees with small Ka'akia Way Ka'ekaha Place Kalehua Place Kanaio Place Kanawao Place Kanoni Place East Ka'ohelo Place East Ka'ohelo Way West Ka'ohelo Place West Ka'ohelo Way Kapoha Place Kilau Place leaves, tiny yellowish flowers ~~ ~~ ~~ - The bird's-nest fern - The flower of the 'ohi'a tree - A variety of taro - Small native trees, saxifrage family - The Indian mulberry - A native in the cranberry family ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ - Gooseberry - A cosmopolitan, stiff, weedy fern Kilau Way - ~ 4 . ~~ ~ a Kolokea Place - Dorothy Pala'a Place - Lace fern Popohau Place - Snowball plant Pukeawe Circle - Ground shrub (Extension of existing street) Pukeawe Place - " , Pukeawe Way - " Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 23rd day of May 1984.
