Resolution
WHEREAS, W. H. Shipman, Ltd., a well-known Kamaaina firm of the
Big Island, plans to petition the State Land Use Commission for a
boundary amendment of approximately 490 acres of land in Puna from
an agricultural to an urban classification; and '
WHEREAS, the boundary amendment will permit Shipman to develop
an Industrial Park, with businesses having an option to either lease
or purchase fee simple parcels; and
WHEREAS, these additional 490

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it endorses the W. H. Shipman, Ltd. 's, pending petition
to the State Land Use Commission to reclassify 490 acres of land in
Puna from an agricultural to an urban classification.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit copies of this resolution to Mr. William Yuen, Chairman,
State Land Use Commission; Mr. Sidney Fuke, County Planning
Director; and Mr. Roy Blackshear, President, W. H. Shipman, Ltd.
