RESOLUTION INCREASING THE T[ME ELEMENT OF A HALFTIME COUNCIL A[DE POSITION TO A
FULL-TIME COUNCIL AIDE POSITION AND ELIMINATING A HALFTIME COUNCIL A[DE POSITION [N
THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK
WHEREAS, the Kona Council Office, a branch of the Office of [he County Clerk, currently has two halftime
council aide positions assigned to a council member; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the 1998 general elections, the newly-elected council member for District 7 is
desirous of hiring one full-time council aide instead of retaining two halftime positions; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
time element for Council Aide (CA-III) position #J0035 be increased to full-time and Council Aide (CA-III) position
#J0039 be eliminated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be transmitted to the Departments of Civil
Service, County Clerk, and Finance.
