NAMING OF STREETS IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF .HAWAII.
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized to
adopt the street names of unnamed roadways in the County of
Hawaii pursuant to Section 4.03, Article 2, Chapter 9, Hawaii
County Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of
February 22, 1984, approved the following names for certain
unnamed roadways in the Volcano Golf and Country Club
Subdivision, Units III & IV, Keauhou, Ka'u, Hawaii; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
said roadways, as indicated on Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, be
named as follows:
Ka'akia Place - Native shrubs or trees with small
leaves, tiny yellowish flowers
Ka'akia Way - ~~
Ka'ekaha Place - The bird's-nest fern
Kalehua Place - The flower of the 'ohi'a tree
Kanaio Place - A variety of taro
Kanawao Place - Small native trees, saxifrage family
Kanoni Place - The Indian mulberry
East Ka'ohelo Place - A native in the cranberry family
East Ka'ohelo Way - " "
West Ka'ohelo Place - " "
West Ka'ohelo Way - " "
Kapoha Place - Gooseberry
Kilau Place - A cosmopolitan, stiff, weedy fern
Kilau Way - " ~~
