HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 845 Draft 01 1980-1984n I O `/ ~4 County of Hawaii - State of Hawaii Resolution WHEREAS, an Environmental Assessment for the proposed site of the Kailua Police Station project has been prepared for submittal to the Board of Land and Natural Resources, State of Hawaii; and WHEREAS, the proposed project will be located on approximately 10 acres of land situated at Kealakehe, North Kona; and WHEREAS, the project will result in a more functional facility and a more effective law enforcement service for the changing West Hawaii Community; and yy ~ Y~} M WHEREAS, the police station will be centrally located to the proposed sewage treatment site, proposed sports complex as well as the expanding industrial and residential areas of Kealakehe. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESULVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it supports the recommendations of the Environmental Assessment report. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it encourages the Board of Land and Natural Resources to find in favor of the County of Hawaii's proposal to locate its Kailua Police Station at the Kealakehe site. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii transmit a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Herbert T. Matayoshi, Mayor of the County of Hawaii and Mr. Susumu Ono, Chairman, Board of Land and Natural Resources, State of Hawaii.
