Resolution
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR
PUBLIC ROAD AND HIGHWAY PURPOSES, HOLUALOA 3RD, DISTRICT OF
NORTH KONA, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
I. That it is necessary, for the public use and
purpose, to wit: The improvement and widening of a public
road and a public highway, known as Hualalai Road and
Mamalahoa Highway, situate at Holualoa 3rd, District of
North Kona, County and State of Hawaii, to take, acquire,
and condemn certain lands with all improvements thereon and
appurtenances thereunto belonging, in fee simple absolute,
together with any necessary easements, free and clear of all
liens and encumbrances, hereinafter described, and to.that
end and for these purposes the Corporation Counsel of the
County of Hawaii be and is hereby authorized and empowered
to initiate proceedings in eminent domain, as provided by
law, for the taking, acquisition, and condemnation of the
land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
II. That in the process of said proceedings in eminent
domain, said Corporation Counsel be and is hereby authorized
and empowered to negotiate terms of settlement, subject to
the approval of this Council and of the court before which
such proceedings are prosecuted.

Being a portion of Grant 988 to Kamalo
Holualoa 3rd, N. Kona, Island of Hawaii, Hawaii
Beginning at the north corner of this parcel of land, and on the westerly
side of Hualalai Road, the coordinates of said point of beginning referred to
Government Survey Triangulation Station "KAILllA" being 11,719.14 feet South and
15,287.26 feet East, thence running by azimuths measured clockwise from True
South:
1. 333° 39' 20" 42.50 feet along Hualalai Road;
2. 349° 00' 30" 83.98 feet along same;
3. 2° 49' 20" 72.41 feet along Mamalahoa Highway;
4. 3° 12' 40" 65.44 feet along same;
S. 137° 20' 45.94 feet along Lot 1;
6. 164° 20' 32.83 feet along same;
7. 187° 10' 134.00 feet along same;
8. 175° 50' 60.00 feet along same to the point of beginning and
containing an area of 7,137 Square Feet
or 0.164 Acre.
