RESOLUTION N0. X315 S4
WHEREAS, Sheridan Kooayashi was elected as the State President
of the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation for 1984; and
VlHEREAS, in being named as the Federation's 36th State
President, Sheridan became the first Big Islander ever named to head
the Federation, an honor which exempli:'fies his leadership abilities
and expertise in diversified agricultural industries; and
WHEREAS, in Sheridan's .nine years association with the Farm
Oureau, two honors, among many others, include Sheridan being named
the Outstanding Associate Memoer oi' 1481 and serving as the State
Vice-President in 1483; and
YlHEREAS, Sheridan's 16 years with the State Uepartment of
Agriculture makes him eminently knowledgeable of agricultural
problems, and combined with his thorough understanding of the
legislative process, Sheridan can guide the Farm Bureau to new
milestones in 1984.
NOW., THEREFORE, BE IT RE50LVED 8Y THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it congratulates Sheridan Kobayashi for being elected
the State President cf the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation and wish he
and his slate of officers success in 1984.
8E IT FURTHER RESOLVEC That the Clerk of the County of Havaaii
present a true copy of this Resolution to Sheridan Kobayashi and
remit copies of this Resolution to Mr. Jack Suwa, Director of the
State Department of Agriculture; the Hawaii State Farm Bureau
F:.,deration and the Hilo County Farm Bureau.
